BLS - Basic Life Support

Course Description: The BLS Course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.

In the Instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam.

Course Designed for: For healthcare providers or those people looking to enter the healthcare profession such as EMS personnel, physician assistants, doctors, dentists, nurses, and respiratory therapists, medical assistant or dental assistant who must have a credential (card) documenting successful completion of a CPR course.

Course Length: An initial and renewal certification class lasts approximately  4-5 hours.

Course Notes: The BLS certification must be renewed every two years by taking a refresher course.  This course provides the student with a valid BLS for HCP card valid for two years. Cards are provided to the student upon completion of the course. Blended Learning is also offered.

Course Cost:  Initial and Renewal Courses: $70 dollars per student. Classes are offered at night for more convenience. Our classes are highly informative, personalized and very well explained by a MD. Price includes all necessary course supplies and a provider manual is provided for consultation during class. Textbook is not included in the price. The Provider Manual may be purchased through the AHA website. Payment is required at the time of registration.
